I started reading the George Carlin book Dave got me for the grab bag.
Its funny, but not nearly as funny as America, The Book. Its a quick
read too…………I’m already 100 pages into it, and there are only
about 230 pages. Still, he makes a lot of interesting points in it. I
need more books, though, so if anybody has any books (no romance
novels, please……….in fact, I would just as soon avoid novels,
unless its really really really really really good) please, pass them
on. This might sound boring, but I think I want to read the John Adams
book that was recently released………….and by recent, I mean
within the last year or so, which is really recent seeing as he has
been dead for almost 180 years.Speaking of books, the Johovah Witness gave me another book to read
today. Its about the Bible and the title is something like “The Bible:
Word of Man or God.” I haven’t read it, but it looks pretty similar to
the evolution/creation book she gave me. I’m still going to read it,
because I really want to strenghen my beliefs, and what better way than
to learn about the opposition and how its complete bullshit. The funny
part, is that I think she is trying to convert me, and like all
Witnesses, she probably will never give up and really really believes
that I will cave, but its just not going to happen. The funny part, is
that the more she gives me to read, the stronger my beliefs become. I
will stay open-minded, though, because one can never learn too much,
especially when one wants to be able to have a good argument to say to
those people “religon is complete bullshit.”The Bulls have won 5 in a row! Wow.
