  • The Cubs have won again! I’m not too excited, though. They are still 5
back in the wild card and have beaten teams they should be beating,
such as the Reds and Pirates. Lets see how they come back next Monday
after getting swept (ok, I guess there is a chance they can win 1) in
    St. Louis.

John and I were talking tonight about how people that commit
assisinations usually go by 3 names. Just look at this list. John
Wilkes Booth (Lincoln), James Earl Ray (Martin Luther King), Lee Harvey
Oswald (accused of killing JFK, but you and I know that it was’t
somebody else……….the rumor is that it was a guy by the name of
James Earl Files, yet, another 3 names), Mark David Chapman (John
Lennon) and I’m sure there are a few more. Its funny though, because
you can tell how much trouble somebody when the media uses the person’s
middle name. For example, when you were a kid, you know you really had
it coming when your mother called you by your first, middle, and last
name, yelling at you to “get in this house right now! You just wait
’til your father gets home!” Now, as an adult, when the newscaster is
on the tv using all three of your names, thats a sure sign that you
should make a run for the border, and I don’t mean Taco Bell. I mean,
its sorta like the media’s way of saying “Mark David Chapman, get in
this house right now! You are in big trouble, mister! Killing John
Lennon. You just wait ’til the prosecutor gets here!” If you ever hear
all 3 of my names on the news, just assume that I’ve already got a
disguise as I’m making my way out of the country. And the bigger the
crime, the more names they use. Martha Stewar, just Martha Stewart when
she was arrested. Robert Blake, all of a sudden was “Robert Alan Flakey
Blake!” and O.J. turned into “Ortenthal James Simpson”. If you work
with somebody that goes by 3 names, thats a sure sign that they might
go postal someday, so you better stay on his good side.

I came out to my friend Don last night. He was very cool with it and
very supportive, saying that he has always suspected as much. I knew,
though, that he would be cool with it, he even apologized to me in case
he has ever offended me, but he never has offended me. He is not the
type to be saying stuff like that and is very open-minded and laid
    back.

Speaking of Don, I was watching the Cubs game yesterday and could have
sworn I saw him at the game. He confirmed the sighting later, saying he
was in the 7th row. Kick ass man, good for him!!!!
