Gloryless Basterds
I saw Quentin Tarantino’s latest flick, Inglourious Basterds over the weekend. I’ve long been a Tarantino fan and have seen many of his movies. Hell, I loved Reservoir Dogs so much that I even bought a Reservoir Dogs calendar this year. As for Basterds, it was not as good as Pulp Fiction or Dogs, but still pretty good. What I didn’t like about it though was that it was a total fabrication of WWII, I mean none of the stuff that happened in the movie actually happened in real life, yet it had so many historical people from WWII in the movie, like Hiter and some of his henchman. Also, for some reason the movie leads you to believe that Hitler hated Jews. I mean, I just don’t know where they got that from.
Now I’m sure not all of you are Tarantino fans. Actually, come to think of it, I think a lot of you probably do like some of his movies, I mean its not like he is some little known indie director. But if you have been indifferent to him or not seen many of his movies, I would say Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are pretty much not just Tarantino classics, but also American movie classics. I will stress though that they are not for everybody; I mean some people just aren’t into those types of movies and that is ok. But if you like gangster movies, than I’m going to suggest dropping everything and seeing them. Just give yourself a little bit of extra time for Pulp Fiction, it is like 3 hours long. Oh, and it might make more sense if you are REALLY stoned when watching it.
That’s all for now. Yay for short posts!

I LOVED that movie. I wish that would’ve really happened to all those Nazis. I really like Quentin… altho his stuff is a bit gory.
