  • I woke up today about 10ish. Exercised. The Sears guy was supposed to
come between 1-5 today, so I had to make sure I was here for him.
Anywho, I had to callback a temp agency that called me yesterday.
Called them back and set up an interview with them for tomorrow at 1 in
the PM. Next, I had to call back the haunted house dude. He seems like
a cool guy (sounds cute, at least over the phone) who said he has been
working a haunted house with his college friends since they got out of
school about 6 or 7 years ago, so I think that makes him around my age,
which is cool. He seems really into haunted houses, which is also cool.
I told him I would stop by tomorrow. I also told him that I had a
couple of friends that might be interested in working, such as Dave.
Also, if anybody else is interested, let me know. Its a lot of work,
but its fun as hell. After I spoke to him, I called Danel. We decided
tomorrow would be a good day to go downtown, but I had to change a
couple of things first. So, I hung up with her and called the temp
place back. I told them I had to change the interview to Thursday
because I had a repair guy coming over tomorrow. Done. I called Danel
back. While I was talking to her, Sears arrived. He look at the washer
for about 60 seconds and said that they will contact me because they
had to order some sorta parts that they don’t have anymore and left.
After a while, I hung up with Danel. She
called back 5 minutes later saying she couldn’t go tomorrow. Damn pain
in the ass. Oh well. We will shoot for next week. I called the haunted
house guy to let him know I would be coming today, but got his voice
mail. So, I left. Its only about a 10 minute drive, so its not that
bad. While I was driving I heard “You can’t always get what you want”
by the Rolling Stones. This of course made me thinkg of last week when
Nicole was singing it. How cute. That song was made before I was even
born (at least, I think it was) and here was a 4 year old singing it. I
guess it goes to show that the Stones rule.  I arrived and saw a
younger lady and asked her where to go. She pointed me around to the
back. There was a lof of wood and props around and a few people
working. One of them was a person that was cute, but dressed in a way
in which I didn’t know if male or female. The dude I needed to see
wasn’t there, but some other guy had me fill out an application. I saw
some legos (WOOOOHOOOO!) on a table and I said “so, you use legos in
the haunted house?” and he said “no, it just helps with design. I
finished filling it out and looked for the guy, but he was gone. I
asked the unisex person where he was, and SHE (damn, female!) called
out for him. I handed him the application and left. My ride home was
uneventful, and therefore, I will skip it.
