If anybody wants to read an article that was in the Daily Southtown
regarding the speech Bill gave to the school board, here is the linkhttp://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dsnews/061nd5.htm
It was also in the Star, and here is the link for thathttp://www.starnewspapers.com/star/spnews/news/06-sp3.htm
I have been reading a book that the Jehovah’s Witness from work gave
me. She is trying hard enough to recruit me. Anywho, this one was “The
Bible: God or Man’s Word”. Of course the book was written by a
Jehovah’s Witness, so it was heavily biased. It did make me think
of a couple of questions, and if anybody wants to give me answers,
please feel free. The first question is, if Jesus did return after 3
days (for the record, I don’t think it happened) then what exactly
happened to his body? Did he re-die 3 days later? And if he did, where
is his body? Or is he still roaming the earth looking for shit to
do…………I figure, if he has been wandering around for all these
years, he would be bored by now. Did he leave the earth altogether?
Maybe he had some Jesus spaceship and after his cameo apperance 3 days
after his death, he climbed aboard and flew off into the sunset.Another question I have, is why is it that religons come down so hard
on gays and not as hard as on everybody else? The bible supposely says
that gays, divorce, pre-marital sex, drinking, and stuff like that is
all a sin. Why is it that gays are “going to hell” and the rest aren’t?
Why do the religons let them off so easily? It doesn’t make sense. Of
course, compared to gays, murderers get off easy. How is it that
sharing love with another human being is worse than everything else?
Explain that one. Of course, I think its all a bunch of bullshit, but
that is just one man’s opinion.I started reading the book Mark got me for Christmas, it is a book call
“The Seasons” its about how baseball and American history have parelled
each other in 10 different years. The first year is 1945 (the last time
the Cubs went to the World Series) and its just amazing. I know I’m
going to have such a great time reading it. I have already learned so
much about WWII and baseball in 1945 (and I already knew a good deal
about baseball in 1945). I’m going to love reading this book.Speaking of baseball, I’m thrilled Ryne Sandberg got elected to the
Hall of Fame. He was always one of my favorite players growing up. Of
course, Andre Dawson is my favorite of all time, but Sandberg is cool
too. He is without a doubt, one of the best 2nd basemen ever.
Offensivly, he is not nearly as good as Rogers Hornsby and defensivly,
he might be just behind Bill Maserowski. I just never understand those
people that insist on Joe Morgan being way better than Sandberg.
Outside of Chicago, people insist that Morgan is the best ever at 2nd,
but I just don’t see it. Don’t get me wrong, he is a great player, but
overall, I would have to say Sandberg is better. Now, I probably have
gone on for too long about baseball for any of your tastes, so I will
just shutup now.
