I’ve had enough. I want to know what Victoria’s Secret is. All these
years, and she can’t tell anybody? Seems to me, if one has a secret and
they aren’t going to tell anybody, the courteous thing to do would not
to announce you’ve got a secret………..its just plain rude. Sit
there and brag to everybody about how you have some big secret, and
then not tell anybody. Plus, I know if it was me and I had a secret, I
sure as hell wouldn’t want to advertise that I’ve got a secret. Yet,
she does advertise it, and the frustrating part is that its working.
People go there, more than likely to find out the secret, and when they
fail, its “oh well, I might as well spend $200 on something Johnny will
find me attractive in, that way he won’t start fantisizing about other
woman until we actually start doing it.” Maybe if people start
boycotting the store, she will have no choice but to tell, that way
people will start shopping there, but then they would have to change
the name, based on the secret. Maybe something like: Victoria’s Secret:
I’m really a dude.I was watching Bill Maher tonight and he had Tucker Carlson on. He
brought up a very good point about gay marriage and why it shouldn’t be
legal. In fact, its the only reason that makes any damn bit of
sense………..in theory, I want to agree with it. He says that a
marriage is essentially a government document, and being a government
document, the government can choose how they want to, for lack of a
better term, enforce it. See, if only all the conservatives put it this
way, they wouldn’t sound like they had their heads up their asses.
Reasons such as “its a threat to marriage” “we can’t change the
definition of the word marriage” or “the bible says its wrong” don’t
seem to fit with the general rules of this country, such as seperation
of church and state, and the fact that we have changed the definintion
of other words. All of that being said, I still believe that people’s
choice on who they marry is something that the government should not
try to regulate, as it is supposed to be a free country. The Supreme Court handed down another landmark case today: we can no
longer impose the death penalty for minors. This was long overdue, in
my opinion. It helps make things more consistant. We don’t treat them
as adults with regards to other things (such as voting, gambling,
drinking, among other things, all of which make sense) so why should we
make an exception when it comes to frying them. This was after a couple
of years ago when they said we could no longer execute the mentally
retarded. All of this is bad news for Texas. Of course, they had to
hand all of these decisions down because of Texas. When I think about
it, most of their decisions are based on something that Texas is doing
that it shouldn’t be. As for the death penalty, this is really going to
hurt the Texas economy. Pretty soon they will have to start coming up
with other people to fry. They just aren’t going to be able to get by
with only 300 executions a year. They can start by executing former
Texas Govenors that become President. That would raise lots of money
for their economy. People would pay big bucks to see that.
