  • Played cards last night at Scott’s. I felt better about the way I
played last night compared to how I have played the past few months. In
    the 1st game, I was 6th out of 8th. The 2nd game, I was 4th out of 8th
(one place out of money). I did fairly well in that game. The last game
though, I lasted for all of 2 hands. TWO FUCKING HANDS!!! I have such a
sour taste in my mouth from my last hand in that game and the 2nd game
of the night, I, of course, thought about both games the whole ride
home. I will be playing tonight with my cousin, so it will give me a
chance to get right back out there and forget about those
hands……….or, get frustrated all over again.

So, Bush went on the attack against his critics about the war. What an
ass. I wonder what things will be like in another year for him. Will he
still be in office? Will he have had a nervous breakdown? He seems
ready to lose it, from what they are saying and just looking at his
demeanor and attitude. He also looks like shit. He looks like he has
aged about 10 years since the election. I wonder if he is sitting there
saying to himself “man, I wish I didn’t get re-elected.” And, it looks
like things are only going to get worse and worse. For example, the
baptist at work who voted for Bush last year says that he now believes
Bush to be the worst president in the last 40 years. He also said that
he was very critical of Clinton with the whole Monica thing, but even
he admits now that at least when Clinton lied, it didn’t have this
effect on the world. Where were these people last year? If they had
seen this then, this fuck-up could have been held accountable for his
actions and things wouldn’t be nearly as bad as they are now. Sure,
Kerry was a pretty big slimeball and a weasel. But, he wouldn’t have
fucked up to the extent that Bush has. Is it too late to have a recall
election? Bush’s approval rating is a pathetic (and well-deserved) 37%.
Among blacks, it is 2%! That is so low, its downright laughable. I
mean, 2%. Think about this for a second. 98% of blacks do not like him.
If Katrina had happened last year, Kerry would have won in a landslide.
But, enough about what could of happened or what did happen. The sad
fact of the matter is, Bush is president.

Ever since I bought Green Day’s American Idiot, I can’t get enough of
it. I have tried not listening to it, but the songs are stuck in my
head. The funny part is that 10 years ago, I hated Green Day. But, this
album is just so good and I agree with so much of it, that I just love
it. Its so political. I agree with so many of the bands religious and
political beliefs. They might even be more anti-Bush than I am. Its
great. And, young people are listening to it and agreeing with it. Now,
if only those young people had more power.
