Ok everybody, who wants to get giggly? Giggly is code for "get high". First of all, go back and read my post from March 6, 2007 for more on what we can do with legalize doobie. Or don't go back and read it, if you are one of those stoner types, you wouldn't make it all the way through it anyway. But even though I am not a toker, I'm a pretty staunch supporter of legalized marijuana for everybody, because I firmly believe that I'm an adult and I can make the choice myself if I want to get stoned, have the munchies and giggle endlessly like I'm Beavis or Butthead. Nothing wrong with giggling like Beavis and Butthead, as we know, laughing is always fun. But, I digress. I just don't think the government should be able to tell me what I can or can not put into my body. We should have the freedom to smoke as much pot as we want. Shit, tobacco is legal and that does far much worse to those that use it and second hand smoke is worse than 2nd hand giggly smoke. Alcohol is legal and people can die from alcohol poisoning which is something that doesn't happen with pot. Oh, and I have never know anybody to have a day long weed hangover complete with throw up, the shits and a nasty ass headache. All of that is legal and marijuana is not for some illogical reason. And its not like it has been illegal for all that long. Most people don't even realize that it just became illegal in 1937! Let's put that into some perspective. My mother was born in 1934, which means it was legal while she was alive. The car was already invented, as were the airplane, telephone and radio. Shit, even the Oscars were 10 years old then. By the way, whose brilliant idea was it to make it illegal anyway? It was the depression and the way help people feel better is to take away one thing that makes them giggle? Yeah, real fucking genius! And don't even get me started on the numbers of people that have gone to jail for possession of cannabis, the numbers are fucking staggering. I don't feel like copying and pasting, so just make up your own damn numbers. Still though, its high time that this law is overturned. The good news is that you can help by going to this website http://www.mpp.org/site/c.glKZLeMQIsG/b.1086497/k.BF78/Home.htm and at the very least, learning more. Happy toking everybody!
