  • I'M BACK, BABY!!!! I guess I should give a brief summary of the week. Saturday is when my hard drive passed away. Since I just bought the computer in September of last year, it was still under warranty. So I called HP and long story short, they sent me out a new hard drive. They didn't, however, send me recovery and/or start up discs, which I had to call back and order. Until I get them (which really should be any day now), I won't have sound and will be very limited as to what I can do. That being say, most importantly, I can get on the internet, however I won't be going to many site because I don't currently have a virus protector. On the other hand, when you are started from scratch, there is nothing to wipe out. Scooty tried recovering everything from the old hard drive, but we were not able to get anything. Fortunately, we still have 3 of our old hard drives (we have gone through so many hard drives that at this point, I think it is something we are doing). which we can pull shit off of, it just won't be anything from the last 8 months. Then again, do we really have anything to save besides porn?

    Sunday Dave, Kelli and I went to the Taste of Chicago. This was the first time just the 3 of us went, previously we had always had at least one other person go with us. As usual the food was great, but the best thing I had was Italian ice from some place. Perhaps it was so good because it was so fucking hot outside or maybe it was just that good, either way, it totally kicked ass. Another that that kicked even more yellow ass is that to promote the Simpsons movie, they had the Simpsons living room, in which you could sit on the couch next to the family and have your picture taken. Once I get my computer all set up, I will post the pic.

    Also, it became official this week at work, I got a promotion effective August 6. It is a pretty good bump in pay and I will pretty much be the equivalent of an assistant supervisor. This means that I will have people that will sort of be reporting to me. I have waited a long time and worked very hard to get this position, so needless to say I'm pretty excited about it.

    That's all for now. Not updating for a week really made me realize how boring a life I actually lead. Maybe I should liven things up by committing some crimes. Nah, I'm not man enough to do time in prison.
