I WON, I WON!!! AGAIN..........Or Did I?
Every month I commit to donating at least $100 to charity. So, about a month ago I got an email from the Red Cross regarding a contest they were having in which you could win tickets to a Cubs game in Los Angeles. Tickets were $50 each or three tickets for $125. And they were only selling $500. I liked my odds, so I bought three tickets. I tried to get a couple of friends to buy some tickets to increase our odds, but nobody else bought tickets. I knew the drawing was in early April as the games are in May.
So yesterday I was walking out of work at 6:15 and listened to a voicemail. It was a lady from the Red Cross saying I fucking won! I yelled (rather loudly I might add) HOLY SHIT! And then stopped and thought about it for a second. Wait a minute. It is April Fool's Day. How do I know this was real? As cruel of a joke it could be, this is something that my friends would do and I would find it hilarious. So I called the lady back and got her voicemail. She was indeed from the Red Cross. Holy shit, this is real!
I called a few friends to excitedly tell them about it. I mentioned to one of my friends the potential that it was a joke but somebody would have to go to great lengths to put together a voicemail and phone number just to prank me. She responded by saying "well, you know, all somebody would need is a friend of a friend.............." That bitch! She pranked me. Or so I thought.
I got home and read the original email which stated that the drawing would be on April 1 at 5:30 pm and the winner to be notified immediately. And I clicked on the link to find my name on the site saying I won!! Nobody is going to go that far for a prank, I'M GOING TO L.A BABY!!!!

Check that shit out, I get to go on the field before the game and meet Dodgers manger Don Mattingly. Also, I get to watch batting practice from the warning track. For some reason, they are giving me four tickets to the game but only 2 plane tickets. I'm hoping to use this to get people to bribe me to go!
