Stupid Bowl
Today of course is Super Bowl Sunday which in a way, is the biggest day in the Man year. If the ladies have Valentine’s Day than the guys have Super Bowl Sunday. There is always a ton of excitement around the Super Bowl and usually a little something for everybody. For some reason, it is the one day of the year in which people all of a sudden forget that they hate commercials. And of course there is always the halftime show, which usually features a performance by washed up old guys. Ever since the whole wardrobe malfunction, the NFL has tried to go with a “safe act” such as the Who, The Rolling Stones or Paul McCartney. So this year they went with Madonna. Yeah, because she is totally safe and clean, after all, just ask David Letterman. Seems though that with the Super Bowl being in Indiana this year, a great choice and a perfect fit would have been Indiana’s own John Mellencamp as he seems to fit all of the NFL’s qualifications. He is old, washed up, and we have a 0% chance of seeing his nipples. Yet, they went with Madonna. Go figure.
I could have waited until after the game to make this post, but figured I would instead write something before it so I can really show off my stupidity by predicting what probably will not happen. Personally, I think it is going to be a close and exciting game, quite possibly the best Super Bowl ever as I really feel the game can go either way. I’m going to make a bold and in all likelihood stupid prediction though and say that it goes into overtime. Perhaps it is just wishful thinking for me though; after all none of the previous 45 Super Bowls have ever gone into overtime in my opinion that just defies the odds. Of course I have absolutely no data to back up my claim, but look over the course of 45 NFL games and surly at least a couple of them have gone into overtime, so by that thinking, we are due for an overtime Super Bowl. That being said, I think the Giants beat the Patriots.
So be sure to keep this all in mind while you are watching the game and the Patriots destroy the fuck out of the Giants, ending the game by halftime and proving my stupidity

Overtime, eh? I don’t care much for either team, but my hatred for the Pats runs deep – so go New York! Let’s hope it isn’t a blowout either way and that it isn’t a game of master defenses, rather exciting offenses. Otherwise I may turn the channel.
well it was a good game, complete with an exciting finish. I was rooting for the Giants as well, but I really didn’t care to see either team win
