  • The supervisor at work really pissed me (and the rest of the class for
that matter) off today. We are officially out of training and are
supposed to start our new schedules on Monday. I was hoping to work
from 10AM-6PM. Well, according to the seating chart, that is not going
to happen. I have made it clear to everybody, even in the interview,
that I wanted to work that shift. The supervisor is the one that makes
the schedule. We were told Thursday that she might be in to give us our
schedules. She didn’t. We were told on several occasions today that she
would “be right in” to give us our schedules. End of the day came, and
she had not been in there. I have no idea what time I’m supposed to
work Monday. The trainer suggegsted that we just show up at 8 in the
AM. I was going to approach the supervisor before I left today, but she
    was nowhere to be found.

The call volume was very low today. It gave me and the only other guy
in the class a chance to talk. He and I are both big baseball fans (he
is a Sox fan), so we spent a lot of time talking baseball and in the
process, boring the shit out of the rest of the class. I figured we
owed them this. For 3 weeks, they have talked a lot about when they
gave birth. Today, they talked about when they first got their periods
and when their daughters are going to get them. Anywho, the other guy
in the class, he was telling me about his first baseball game. He was 9
years old and it was 1959 (the last time the Sox, or any Chicago team
for that matter, where in the World Series) and he and his brother went
to a game. He was telling me about all the parks he has been to and all
the countries that he has been to. It was fascinating. I was amazed and
really interested in his stories. He is a pretty cool guy, I’m gonna
    love talking baseball with him.

Tonight, I didn’t do much. Not having as much money as before, I can’t
go out as often………….at least not yet. John and I watched Taking
Lives, which was……………….ehhhhhh. It was ok. Most of the
movie didn’t make sense and the movie tries too hard to have too many
twists. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that good either. It was a one
    timer.
