I remember what it was now. I was caught just a few minutes of CLTV
news tonight and they were talking to some chick from Utica about
natural disasters. She mentioned how strangers are really nice and they
help and say a prayer for them. Now, suppose somebody decided they had
no time or money to give, but instead said “I will keep you in my
prayers” or ” I will pray for you”. Isn’t that pretty much the
equivalent of doing nothing? Honestly, there is no proof that prayer
even works (some would say it does, others like me say i doesn’t, but
the fact of the matter is, its all just opinion) so what you are
saying, is that if you are just praying, then you are really not doing
anything. You are doing just as much as the slob that sits there
drinkin’ beer and watching pro wrestling, the only difference is that
you are giving them the false hope that your prayers are going to
actually make a difference. The sad and funny part, is that the people
you are praying for, actually thank you and really believe you are
doing your part to make a difference. So, instead of just praying, how
about giving money or time, in addition to praying.
