I have watched the first 4 episodes of 24, and I have to say, it sucks.
Its the same old shit. I don’t know if I can put up with another 20
episodes of this crap. The thing is, the first season and a half were
really really really good. Last season started off slow, but finished
very good. Now, they have done it all already. They should not have
brought it back for a 4th season.I guess there is a bill up in the IL house that would make it illegal
for people to discriminate against gays when it comes to jobs and
things like that. It a fairly controversial bill, which I don’t
understand. Why do they hate us so much? All we are looking for is
equality. We just go about our business and live our lives. Why can’t
we just live our lives just like everybody else? It doesn’t make sense.
If we are supposed to be a free country, our sexual orinatation
shouldn’t matter. I have been doing a lot of thinking about this
recently, why is there so much hate directed at us? With the exception
of the jews (and maybe the Muslims), no other group is as hated as us.
And why? Because their precious bible claims that homosexuality is
wrong. Well, why not come down half as hard on the other million things
the bible says is wrong? Why go afer gays? My working theory is that
people are afraid of the unknown………..they don’t know gays and
don’t want to get to know them, but if they took the time to see beyond
our sexual orinatation, they would see that we are just like them and
have the same wants and needs. But, people have to be simple-minded and
allow for society and their prejudices to get in the way. And, although
I blame the bible and religon for a good portion of this, the bottom
line is that people aren’t willing to look past that, instead they hide
behind the bible, but yet will not condem and still support other
aspects of the bible that are supposed to be wrong. Does any of this
make any sense? Normally I’m in the mood to say something funny, but I
just don’t feel it today.

We’re the easiest target right now. That’s why they come after us. And, in most of the country, we are still a small enough (or nonexistant) population so as to not cause many ripples or crises of conscience in the mind of the average American. What I mean is, because Jack Smith of Ardmore, Oklahoma has never met or really had any serious interactions with a gay person, it’s easier for him to discriminate against us for being “unnatural” or whatever. That’s the most prevalent situation, though some may claim otherwise. The truth of the matter is, when an average person discovers that his average-seeming coworker or neighbor or whatever is a homosexual, it challenges his perception on the issue.
Or it could be that they see the obvious connection between terrorism and “homoism”. Think about it. Both groups recruit impressionable young men to camps in remote mountain regions. Then they tape them and release it on the Internet. Or so I’ve been told.
btw – if I haven’t said so yet, your profile pic is hot.
Oh, Uvon, which show used that quote? I remember it, I can’t remember who said it where. N.
Just a few seconds have passed and I remember it now. It was on John Stewart show after the elections last year, lol. N.
